The Royal Opera House Muscat is the first opera house in the Arabian Gulf and Peninsula, commissioned by Sultan Qaboos in 2001. Construction began in 2007 and it was inaugurated in 2011.

Architectural Design
Built on an 80,000 square meter area with over 25,000 square meters of built space. The structure consists of 8 floors (3 underground and 5 above ground). The design harmonizes Omani, Arabic, and Islamic architectural heritage across different eras.
